From PS audio Newsletter
Speaking of price sensitive items (sigh) we have to have a price increase. Worldwide supplies of raw parts, long lead times, increases in shipping costs all play into our tough decision to have to raise a few prices. I will say in our defense that this is the first price increase we have had in years.
I know people aren’t happy - our dealers and distributors are gnashing their teeth because of this. “Everyone else is lowering their prices, and you guys are raising them? Are you nuts?” Well, I’ll own up to being nuts and I’ll own up to not really paying much attention to what “others” are doing. PS Audio has always marched to the beat of our own drummer and while others were raising prices and making lots of bank (when economic times were good) we maintained our high value pricing formulas and just “did our thing” and treated our customers right, with respect and high value. We’re still doing it and our pricing still reflects extremely high value.
So, what’s going up? Premiers, Quintets, Duets, DLIII’s and cables. Everything else remains the same for now.
The price increase takes effect on July 15th 2010. Below are the current and new US only retail prices. Check with your country’s dealer or distributor to find out the price changes if you are not in the US.
Premier $1699.99 to $1999.99
Quintet $349.99 to $399.99
Duet $199.99 to $249.99
DL3 $699.99 to $799.99
Cables go up specifically because of the price of copper and they average about 10 to 12% but there are too many models to list them all in this newsletter. Check with us or your dealer and distributor for specifics. |
