The BA-71 speaker is the newest from the Burmester family; it stands for "Burmester Audiosysteme" with seven front drivers. All mid/low drivers are made of fibre glass and paper compound and fitted into the 12 millimetre aluminium baffle board. There are two AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeters; sports in the front and back.
We took pride to demo the Burmester demo CD on the reference Burmester CD player; one of the best CD player in the world. It was so closed to analog, many guests asked if we are playing CD or turntable. We also showcase the German Transrotor turntable with our reference Burmester system. The shining chrome finish matches perfectly with the Burmester gear. What's unique about our analog setup in this room is that we use a Koetsu Onyx Platinum on the SME. The sound was extremely smooth, sweet and musical. Many customers inquired about the Koetsu, and at the same time, we met many existing owners of Koetsu in Vancouver as well.
It was quite an honour to hospitalize many guests who came to this room. Some shook my hands after the audition, and told me that this is the most beautiful sound they've heard.
For those of you who missed the show, here is a great review by Audio Traveler of our room:
