At the Head-Fi meet Vancouver, it was also a showcase of headphone amplifiers. 

We had headphone amplifiers from Weiss, Graham Slee, Elekit, Marantz, It also was great to see some DIY headphone amplifiers; they don't just look good, but they sound great ! 

For the money, Victor's Elekit TU-882 AR was a true winner.  It has ample of power, with excellent tonal balance and control.  It is one of our reference headphone amplifier as well; of course, with upgraded Mundorf Supreme silver & gold caps installed.

One of the interesting comparison we did, was to compare the three Audez'e LCD-2 rev 1, rev 2, and one in between.  They all sound a little bit different.  I would say the rev 2 is more airy or lighter than the rev 1.

We also get a chance to compare some of the headphone cables, and interconnect in our case.  In my opinion, I find that a better cable does bring the performance into another level.
