Vancouver Audio Show took place on the weekend of May 8 ~ 10th. It was held at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.
It was a great opportunity for us to meet many of our friends customers, and at the same time to meet many more new customers. We had three rooms setup at the show this year. The first room is our Accuphase room.
Once known as the McIntosh of Japan, Accuphase no longer needs bear such comparisons. Best known for their CD player, and Class-A amplifier; Accuphase today is regarded as one of the best audio brands in the world.
We had two speakers setup in the room; Franco Serblin Accordo and Lawrence Audio Violin. Franco Serblin, who died in March 2013, is remembered as the founder, creative force, and papa behind Sonus Faber. The Accordo is considered to be Franco's last masterpiece, and his best sounding monitors. The Lawrence Audio Violin, inspired by Franco’s earlier work, is also an exceptionally eye catching stand mount, two way speaker; with an 8” carbon finer midrange/woofer and a Cantus 5” ribbon tweeter.
The analog source was the Canadian debut of VPI Prime turntable with its 3D printing tonearm. This turntable rarely makes to international shows, because of huge back order. A big thanks to VPI for making this turntable available in time for Vancouver Audio show.
