"For those who want the Burmester signature sound at a relatively reasonable price," declared Burmester General Manager Robert Hagemann.  The new Burmester 101 integrated amplifier will retail around $9995.  It is slated to be a whole new entry level into the Burmester sound world, but not in performance.  The new 101 integrated amplifier features a balanced circuit layout and DC coupled.  It is designed to go with the Burmester 102 CD player.  A complete Burmester electronics under $20,000 !!

At the CES, it sounds great from the Burmester B50 speakers. 

The Audio Note Kondo room has its limited edition turntable with its new speakers and mono blocks.  The Kondo sound is not the most dynamic, nor the most accurate; yet it sounds very seductive and it just makes your butt want to sit there a little longer.

From Asia to Munich and back to Las Vegas, I've always loved the Acapella + Einstein.  The silky smooth tweeter and the presence of the midrange with sophisticated bottom end; I don't know what's more to ask.  I had the courage to ask if Acapella goes well with Burmester.  The answer was very positive; years ago, Acapella and Burmester were partners at shows.

The Focal speakers were in many rooms.  The most interesting room was the Air Tight.  They had featured a pair of Focal Scala speakers with Air Tight ATM-3011 mono blocks; a combo that I never thought of, but a combo that is great in sound.
