REVIEW: DEVORE FIDELITY 0/96 LOUDSPEAKERS

"The O/96s being juiced by the Acoustic Masterpiece sounded so smooth you’d think every note played, or chord struck was being massaged, and rubbed down by a bevy of masseurs. This amp has a beautiful touch with every type of music I put through it, regardless of source. The 201H reminded me of a Koetsu cartridge in some ways; it plays everything staggeringly well, but to my ears there is a certain sameness to everything played through it. It is definitely midrange-centric in its presentation, with a hint of roll-off in the upper registers and in bottom-end output. If this was your day-to-day integrated amplifier, you’d be very hard pressed to do better in this price range, and to be honest you wouldn’t notice the less -than-stygian bass unless you A/B’d it like I did against the Oto with its much larger output transformers. Having the 201H in place for several weeks I came to adore it. It put a smile on my face every time I heard it through the DeVores." ~ Rafe Arnott
